HORBA board members have a pretty good weeknd!
 

Congrats to two of our Advisory Board Members.

Last weekend, both Joe Sgro and Bob Saccenti had a great weekend.

Joe Sgro won, for the second time, the Don Aronow Around Long Island race.

Bob Saccenti was inducted into the NPBA Hall of Fame.

During Bob's induction, a special DVD highlighting his career played on a large screen in the background.

The DVD was made by Rich and Darren Luhrs as a special l gift to Bob as a way to recognize his many contributions to the sport.

However, we would like to point out that his history goes way back to 1972 when he was selected personally by Don Aronow to crew on a 36 foot Cigarette, BLONDE, owned and driven by Roger Hanks.

Here is some coverage of the race that day.....Yes, they won the race too.

Please note this was a 36 foot boat......now look at the photos as the boat is climbing the face of a wave and finally crests it. Key West always had Big Water.

You know for a guy who was just 10 miles from me a couple of weekends ago......and didn't let me know!!!!
