I'm not sure everybody realizes that the difference between living to talk about it and a terrible tragedy was probably less than 3 feet. Somebody was sure watching! Glad everybody is OK.

The spotter seaplane pilot should have alerted them to the approaching fog bank. From the air it would have been easily seen. I've read that they were in contact with each other.

Really Moe...A couple men trying to do something for a great cause incur a bit of poor visibility during their run...clearly as you can see by the video it was on them immediately, you have to make comments of stupidity. Lets see what your next great adventure is for a good cause. There are times to keep your mouth shut and for you this is one of them...

I am a little surprised the GPS Plotter they must have had on board would not have shown that Bouy Location and their position relative to it. I would have thought they could maybe have seen on the GPS screen (if it was zoomed to a proper level) that Can coming up to them.
Maybe the darn things aren't accurate enough at the speeds they were traveling. I thought it would have art least given them a bit more of a heads up.
Glad no one was injured.
