Single engine, dual prop speed
Have noticed a few 28' boats with the dual prop drives, 430hp. What kind of speed will this setup give? Baja, eliminator, hallett, open bows might have been what I've seen with these set ups. Guess it would be better if need to do water sports?

These drives sacrifice speed for holeshot. Lot of small to medium bowriders have them to compensate for weight.

I have a Chaparral 2335 (4900 lbs) closed bow with a 500 HP 502 and a Bravo 3 (2:1) with a set of Bravo 26p props that have been labbed and cupped up to 27P.
It runs 67 MPH at 5400RPM. The boat is a rocket ship out of the hole and great on fuel. That said, I am planning on swapping to a B1 (1.5:1) and looking at a 24P prop |
Perhaps one of the biggest boats that still gets up and moves with duo props...........
Fountain 38 Express Cruiser, 17,000 lbs, with Bravo 3's claim 62 mph running 496's. 525's are an option so maybe 5 mph extra with the blue motors? RR |
