Talking Thunder EnLightening has Arrived

It has been a long time coming but Thunder EnLightening is in the water and ready to rock. I'll post pictures below and if you want to see how she came to be here is the like to the thread we started as part of our search. Its long, but interesting.

Waiting for the boat to get done was a killer as we had already sold our PQ. We took several trips to see it and that made the waiting even worse. But the actual delivery of the boat is a story in itself.

We were expecting delivery on Friday last week, one day before the Cumberland Poker Run. Pat had a hauler all set up to pick the boat up on Thursday at noon. We leave for Cumberland Thursday after work and expect to meet up with the boat on Friday around noon. We find out late Thursday that the transport guy did not show up. No problem, Pat (owner of AT) will bring the boat to us and planned on leaving early Friday morning. Plenty of time to make it to the poker run. SO we go to bed Friday night thinking we will wake up Saturday morning with our boat in the parking lot ready to rock and roll in the poker run.

While all this is going on, my cell phone descides to take a dump. Pat and Diane had been trying to call us to tell us that Pat's truck had also taken a dump and the boat will not be there. WOW, what a wake up conversation that was.

As you can see this is rapidly becoming the weekend from hell for both us and Pat. Pat got a hold of a transport guy to haul the boat to us and we're getting real uncomfortable with transport guy's. So we descide to meet him half way. Should take each of us about 5-6 hours to meet up. We leave at around noon and plan to meet up at 6:00 PM. I do not know what happened ( and really do not want to) we took delivery of the boat at 2:30 AM Sunday. That's right 2:30 AM Sunday. And you know what, we drove that thing right back to lake Cumberland and put her in the water. We had her full of gas, all our gear loaded and running down the lake by 10:00 AM. We pulled that boat through the mountains around Chattanoog and Knoxville TN and average 65 mph. You guy's can say what you want about Powerstroke's, I think they are awesome.

Well, after all of this we had an excellent time on Lake Cumberland and Pat was very helpful with getting the systems started on the boat.

Bottom line to the story is this 37' AT is absolutly incredible. It looks great and runs better. It has one of the most luxurious cabins you will find on an offshore boat. And it will run in the mid 80's with 500 HP's. WOW, I can't wait to go boating again
