yeti "colster" koozie
This was my first yeti purchase, and I will say it does an amazing job! Get side tracked and leave your beer behind. ...no worries. ...still cold. Hot sunny days is where it shines the most.
The only issue I have, is the first sip always gives a weird taste. It's almost like the taste you get when you stick your tongue on a 9v battery, but more faint. Is there a charge being produced when it is slid into the colster? Anyone else notice this. |

I have a buddy who has one, he used it all summer and I never heard him say or complain about it. But his drink would stay cold for hours.
|
I unscrew the lid and replace the can. Never had the issue you are describing
|
Love mine. Best $30 I've ever spent. Don't have the taste issue though, that's weird
|
I'm sure they work but Yeti is the latest fad. I always say if a beer gets warm before you can finish it without a coozie you're not drinking fast enough so why bother.

They make a mug that a friend uses for his cocktails. There was still ice in it 2 days later when I was cleaning up the bar in the shop. Since he cant remember where he left it, it may well become the property of the bar! :drink:

Now I have to go to the bathroom to wipe coffee off my face, hands, and sweatshirt. |
I have the Yeti Koozie and the Tumbler. Both are awesome. I cant believe how long ice will stay in the tumbler. The Koozie does not fit in all cup holders as its pretty thick and if you drink Michelob ultra(I dont but have friends that do) the can is to small. If I could only have one or the other I would get the tumbler. My beer doesn't generally get warm in a regular koozie anyway.
Fad or not they work! John |

That is true, however when you go on that wall about at the local sand bar, you can use the Yeti for your "roadie" beer. Drink the open beer and keep the spare one in the coozie. Ha!
Brilliant! lol |

YETI really got my respect when they put up serious $$$ towards the two boys in FL that got lost at sea. If I remember right (I cruised the donation site and saw it) they gave $30,000 to the effort.
Yeh, they got a lot of free press on the Yeti cooler that was found, but they didn't have to donate because of it. |

These things have an ice maker in the bottom. I use the Yeti coolers, tumblers, and coozies. Good stuff. I didnt lose any coozies this summer. At $30 I tend to watch it a little closer. Main drawback with the coozie is its so heavy you always think you have a half beer when all you really have left is a sip or two. I will adjust in time... |

We've got a couple of the Thermos stainless coozies. They are not Yeti, but they keep a beer cold - as cold as it was when you put it in there, and it's probably half the price of a Yeti. ....as an alternative.
I rarely have a need to keep an open beer cold for much longer than 20 mins :party-smiley-048: ....this works. http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Stainl.../dp/B0000644AF |

I don't know why the pic keeps loading sideways? LOL |
I am surprised there is a thread on this. I thought I was the only numnutz that would pay $30 for a coozie. HAHA
|
Just got the coaster and the tumbler as anniversary trinkets. Both are fantastic. I do agree, beer generally doesn't have enough time to go warm with me but to put the roadie in makes sense!

Colster.
