Your opinion. Offer on my Cigarette
Well I got another offer on my Cigarette (1986 Flat Deck).
This time, it is not contingent on financing, trades, insurance or any of the other excuses I've heard lately. It is a cash deal with no BS but is is well below what I was thinking.
We are in the very low $50s right now (OUTCH!!!).
Do I take the deal or hold out & take the boat to FL for the winter where I can use it a few times & list it with a FL broker???
The boat is long paid for so I just have to continue to carry insurance.

Is it a true cash deal like green and white? If so can you hide that kind of money? Could actually come out better in the long run then a check for 60K. Just some ideas to ponder. I know you have been having trouble getting action on that thing. Also don't forget Biggus needs a trailer so maybe there is some room to wheel and deal there as well.

Dave,
As a Builder you know, "your frst offer is most likely the best offer" No BS, no financing, work this buyer "up" no one walks away from agood deal for 10%, maybe a 10% increase can get te del done. The cost of bringing the boat to Fla. Rack storage for the winter, the added Ins. premium, sell the boat now.

Yeah, I'd hold out too. But only because I want it for myself. Ok, here's the deal. Mr Cig offered to take my wife Barb and I on the COPS run Saturday. I've been saying for quite some time that my next (and LAST) boat will be a 38 or 35 Cigarette Well, the ride in Mr. Cig's boat was fantastic. Are you anywhere close to Newport Beach? A friend of ours lives in Lake Forest and would probably be willing to snap some shots of your boat for us, if that's alright with you. I know there are a couple web addresses with pics of the boat. Any chance you could post them here? Thanks in advance. Dave
