Question where do I find brake parts?

I have a Hustler Trailer and looked all over today for brake pads. Auto parts stores can't find the right ones. Anybody know how I can find them?

Thanks,
Tom

Call your local trailer place they should have the stuff you will need.

Ive had great luck at NAPA stores! they match things up pretty good. Most trailers ive seen seem to use Ford brake parts.

Try calling the manufacturer, they were totally helpful when I had to fix my brakes after losing a hub last year, and I called them. They told me that mine were off the shelf chevy cavilier pads.

Look for a manufacturer tag at the center of the axle. If there Dexter you can get them from them. Very nice people to deal with. Good luck.

Thank you all so much for the ideas. The phone at Hustler is always busy. Doug, your idea was right on, I called Dexter and they hooked me up.

Thanks,
Tom

You may want to consider changing the whole brake assembly. You can purchase the whole deal including pads, springs, wheel cylinders and backing plates very reasonably. I bought 10" Dexters today for CDN $93.00 each. Four bolts to install.
