Documentation Number Plate
Where does one buy the plate to show the numbers once your boat is documented?
|
http://documentedvessel.com/
Here is a site that can make you a nice legal one. Ive seen plastic and decals mostly.. wood. etc. Just be sure its easy to get to and see from a vessel parked along side you (Coast guard and sheriffs out here in the California Delta).. so they don't have to climb aboard if its just a Doc Check..Under engine hatch center is where I put mine refer to USCG site for sizing if you do your own. |
Mine has one inside the engine bay and another under the dash. Both pretty easy to see.

tech. it is to be permanently affixed. just like the HIN. one way, but not to fancy is: scuff a good visible spot in the engine bay, affix conventional reg. style numerals then coat with resin. a pretty basic easy method. ck. on the height/size requirement @ the USCG web site

Mine is right under the bench seat

Friends boat...he had the numbers made up in vinyl....scuffed a section of the engine room wall and applied the sticker.....then masked it off and applied one layer of glass over it. you can see it in the right corner of the pic behind the engines
