Should be a lot of fun this summer finding out.
Kind of like finding out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop..............One, Two .............Oh crap! Honey call Towboat, just left another outdrive on the bottom of LKN !

Really? So the XR and other high performance drives are slower?

Yes. I had good success in my 242LS with 625HP with a Bravo X upper and IMCO lower with no noticeable loss of speed. I ran it for about 40 hours but it was still a timebomb.

To the untrained I, this looks like a well built average pallet.

But us crazy go fast guys can easily see that this a P.E.D.S

I'm guessing about 75 MPH and a shattered drive.

Update:

Sorry Guys, Life and work has gotten in the way of this project.

Engine and boat are both home here in Denver, NC. After some slight stringer modification to clear oil pan, the engine is now in the boat. Had to move the oil cooler in a tad, but we got clearance on the steering cly.
External steering is also on.
Exhaust tails are mocked up and are currently being custom built along with many different lines hoses and fittings.
Having to design and relocate hatch actuator. Hits the oval breather.
Of course, my boat guy is busy as hell right now, so he's working on that fast turn around money while waiting parts

Everyone is thinking around 75 mph as a group,so we will see where it shakes out.
If I every stop spending money on this project i'll get you guys a total.
