Here's a real wave crusher. Not quite an Apache or Cig, but she does crush waves! Hope the link works...

This was put up on a tee so I can't resist, it is faster than an Apache or Cig. In all seriousness it's amazing how something that big and heavy can go that fast. Would be a great site to see one of these do a flyby by most cruiser boats also at speed.

I used to know this but had to look it up, it's called a hawse pipe. (the tube between the deck and the outside hull for the anchor chain)

Love Apache, but I also seem to remember Lake Michigan having her way with a 47' Little Ceasar boat "back in the day" and left it with a couple pretty good cracks.

Correct. It looks to be a sea trial. The anchors aren't in place yet.

Take it as rumor as the military will never release actual speeds for anything. I've heard through the grapevine aircraft carriers are capable of close to or at 50knots. That's 60mph for those who don't know. That's haulin for a small island. Also on a side note when 9/11 happened the fighter jets escorting Air Force had to ask it to slow down. Craziness what this stuff is capable of.
