If it was me as I have visited this boat manufacturer in the early 1990's at their location in Kansas.
I would take a little drive to visit them, but first see if you need to set up an appointment beforehand as I believe you need to do so currently.
One of the best built PRODUCTION BOATS in the USA

There's also the option of heading up to Hutchinson for the Salt Mine or the Cosmosphere:

Couple more options in Wichita:

http://devlinrodandcustoms.com/ (Not sure how worthwhile... never been)
http://wichitahistory.org/ (History museum, for those into such things)
http://www.fllwallenhouse.org/ (A home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Wichita)
http://www.wichita.gov/Government/De...he-Plains.aspx (Nice place to grab some pics, esp when they light up the ring of fire)

Finally had a minute to respond. Thanks for all the responses. We had a great time visiting. Key time, great suggestions. We go to hit the zoo with the kids one day. The other day we saw the keeper of the planes and ate an old soda/ice scream shop down by the train museum. All in all it was a great time.. The weather was pretty sketchy leaving but did clear up the closer we got to KC. Thanks again
