I've used a Dremel with a little cut off wheel. Too a few to get through it.

If this is what you have then McGard may be able to help. other wise cut off the shield part so you can get a good grip on the nut part and remove it.

That is correct about Mcgard if you take pics of it and send to them - they will send you the chuck to remove it. I forgot the girls name who handles that end of it. They are very helpful.

Been there and with the prop locks, trailer tire locks, spare tire locks hundreds of time from boat owners who have no idea where the tool is or never got one to begin with.

If you have access to the truck that usually pulled the boat, check in the glove box...that's where my McGard keys are case you buy my boat

Had them damn things on my boat
Towed to Havasu from MN
Needed a motor mount installed
Received a call to approve $75 charge for each bolt (4) that had them on to remove
Went down there to rummage the boat and truck, or wait, I did not have MY truck
Went inside to call home to have someone find the tool to overnight it
Found a display with the same setup
One package was open, grabbed the tool, walked out to the shop and removed the bolts!
Bought the package for $20, to at least get them to make some $$
# hours later went boating
I have 5 sets of these at home, you want them?

Tip: keep the keys buried deep in the boat somewhere. Just don't forget where.

Most larger marinas have run across this before. There are only a handful of keys, and they usually have the full gamut.

A note on this, NAPA and many other auto part stores turbo sockets suck. Blue Points (Snap On) and other big name brands ,etc will take them right off.

The $$$ lost due to looking thru car (we leave the key in the glove box unless instructed otherwise) and waiting for a customer to look for it, doesn't work. Way too much time and $$$ lost over something so seemingly petty.

Every car repair place has these. If they don't, they smoke too much weed. LOL.

I read a thread recently about the effects of saltwater. After reading the thread, I suggest you wipe a little bit of salt water on the lock nuts three times a day and after 2-3 days the nuts will have corroded away and fallen off naturally!

If you don't have access to salt water, there's some good ideas above........
That turbo socket looks sweet.

Sorry, RR
