The article mentions the possibility of challenging the circumnavigation record...excuse my myopic mind but circumnavigating what? I'm used to reading about challenging Lake Havasu on this board and how rough Loto gets.

Circumnavigate the globe. Current powerboat record around the world is 61 days and we plan to use our new Skater to beat that record. As well as many other endurance runs i.e. Miami to New York, San Francisco to LA, New Orleans to St. Louis.

Indy 12-10-2015 12:44 PM

Now that's a race to follow!!!

Any chance for Around Long Island? Would love to see some more competition in that run.

Very cool project. My Dad would get into go-fast boats if there was more performance diesel options. One of the few articles I'm forwarding to him!

Hit a home run with the detail work prettying up diesels! What kind of range are you projecting on the 1400 gallons?

I assure you there is not any association with Darr. Tyson and Tristan do what they put their mind to every time!

We should be able to get 2 mpg at 100 mph so somewhere around 2500-2800 miles.

I really dig the endurance efforts. The New Orleans to St Louis has cool history, esp with Howard Arneson's run. Hauling up the Mississippi may be one of the riskier ventures. Definitely a bit of luck involved with that one.

Good luck and be safe in all your efforts.

I would love to see more Duramax diesels in the performance boat world! Half of us tow our boats with them anyway....
