I've had 2 of them. an 89 Jeep Cherokee Sport and a 92 Cherokee Limited. They both ran good and were very reliable. I did have to put new main bearings and a water pump on the 92. They both had a lot of rattles. My next little suv was a 94 Izuzu Rodeo, it had less power but no rattles at all when I sold it at 130k miles.

Wes, Tracy had a 97 4.0 with 3.55 rear end. It ran really good but the tranny went to **** after about 32,000 miles. We didnt t ow with it or anything either. It went to the shop about four times, once on a roll back. Jeep place never could get it fixed so we traded it on a Tahoe. The day we traded the air conditoning compressor crapped out. Look for a used explorer!!! Or a S10 blazer. Jack has a 93 with about 120,000 on it. Not one problem.

Or a get a Wrangler. Daily driver M-F. Then Sat/Sun = TOY! Also use mine as a dock taxi, since my dock is way down the hill. These things are good for 250k with regular oil changes. Same motors as the cherokee I believe.
