I'm firing up the 'ol Evinrude with the SeaKing aluminum boat -- good fishing!!!
I've been watching the St. Joe Michigan web cam -- It is beyond ruff-- I'm sure there are some Apache owners that will chime in and say look at the glass -- God Love Ya!! Merry Christmas |
There were 46 truck/trailers at the ramp yesterday!! Fish are biting!!
|
all our water here in the SW corner of Erie blew to the other side of the lake last night so I'm sure it was pretty snotty out there . . . .
|

This shows about a 3 foot change and its not really blowing out... http://glakesonline.nos.noaa.gov/temp/9063085.png |
gotcha. I didn't realize it was that shallow over by dave. Are there lots of underwater hazards to hit?
|
All I know is when you have 50+ft of beach footage from the water line to the top wall and the waves r hitting the wall and you can feel it up in the house the lake is bit-chin....

it actually sounds more treacherous than it is, theres stuff to hit but probably no more then anywhere else. Its somewhat seasonal, prevailing winds in the fall shift to out of the SW and it pretty much drains the basin when it really blows. |
Earth. Lol. Hard west wind day at the clamdigger.

depends on the wind, the entire west end is pretty shallow, I have seen pretty much the entire maumee bay emptied but that is only 8 feet or so at the deepest, mostly about 5 to 6 feet.

Looked at a 290 PQ down there years ago(Monroe). It was still winter and we went into rack storage area. All but two boats had broken Skaggs . That was the first time someone explained the water level change to me.
