and with that power they will cost more than 400K......... Power is too new, too pricey to have seriously depreciated if they are installed in a quality hull. Also consider how many are actually out there. I suspect there are more Merc 400's out there than 1100/1350 packages despite the 400's only being a few months old.

need for speed has a cabin and is the nicest 52 in the world, was at a poker run this summer with a 48 ol and a 50 nobody gave them a second look next to the roadsters which also smoked the v hulls

Just the same, I can understand if the boat owner sticks to his price but I wouldn't consider your friends budget/offer an offensive low-ball offer.
