Need help finding a Nortech
Guys, I need your help!
I sold my 33' Scarab last year because I wanted something a little better for the family. My wife is afraid of waves, so I want something larger and heavier. I also want something with a big cabin with lots of amenities. It has to be a go-fast. I just turned 30, and won't be ready for a cruiser for at least another 30! This leaves me two options: Black Thunder or Nortech. I'm not sold on the bulky look of the former (no offense to anyone), so have decided on a Nortech. I want a 43v, but am wondering what everyone thinks of the 39v too. Below are the 43s for sale that I know of: 1) Red and gray 2008 w/ T700s and NXT drives. Sweet boat. I talked to the broker just a couple of weeks ago, but he has not been returning my calls. It's listed in one place at 259k, another place at 229k, and another at 198k. Also, I do not know who did the rebuilds. Anybody has the scoop? Seems fishy to me. http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/38622 2) Blue 2010 w/ T700s and NXT drives. Awesome boat, for sale for 259k. Seems a little on the pricey side to me. Anyone know this boat? http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...300V-102563148 3) White and gray 2010 w/ triple700s and NXT drives. Great boat, but out of my range at 349k. Also seems overpriced. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2006-Nor-Tech-4300-V-98690904 4) Multi-color 2005 w/ T1000s and #6 drives. Why has this boat been for sale for YEARS? Not sure I want blower motors. (http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2005-Nor-Tech-4300-Super-V-101925666) If I can't find a 43v, I might go for a 39. I've never seen one, besides in pictures. What does everyone think? There are two for sale that I know of - a gray one with 700s for 169k and a yellow one with 525s for 124k. Links for those are below: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...-VEE-102632581 http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...-VEE-102605685 ALSO, ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY MORE 43V's COMING ON THE MARKET SOON? |
Why not add Sonic to the list?
A 42 and it has all the cabin items you are looking for and love the rough stuff. |
The red and gray 43 is rough. A friend looked at it and it had alot of salt damage. The factory headers had been replaced with stainless marine manifolds most likely because of this.

I just bought a 39V. Haven't had much seat time in it, but love it so far. It's HUGE for it's size... definitely I think these boats are far nicer in person than in pictures. The lines, etc are very nice. The 3900 is big, I can't imagine the 4300... it's gotta be a battleship.

For the money your talking about spending I would get a boat with real drives on it. Cost of ownership would be less and resale will be higher.
