My fist cat help!!

Looking for my fist cat, I have no experience with one, only had open fisherman boats. I heard the skaters are good cats, There is a company in Miami that has the mold of a skater 21, was suppose to sea trail one yesterday but the guy never call, they don’t look bad but I think the 21 is too small. Would like to get a use 24 but are hard to find, anyone know of a company that makes a copy of a 24 skater or a good 24 cat?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

There are plenty of good makes available. Make sure insurance is included in your budget for where you are. The rates might be a bit different than the open fish type boat.

Look at http://www.predatorpowerboats.com/home.htm they have a 25 that has the bottom of 25 skater and have a boat ready to rig at your preferences.
They build me a 30 that is on the boatshow if you want to see what there capable of .

You better look for cat insurance and price it out first.

I Had a 24 with twin 2.4s. You have to pay attention. and rode like crap between 52~ 60 and then drive through a bit of hell again at 80 ~ 84 then settled in all the way to 106MPH. I tried all kinds of props, trimming, motor heights and setbacks. never could cure it. Im not saying it was bad.. You just have to learn it and always pay attention

Thanks will look at the Predator, what did you paid for your 30, more less.

Skater 86 I would grab one if you can, They are awesome boats, And there are many new props and Tech that wasn't available back when I was running one.

My brother and I run a Skater 30 w/twin 300's. Nice ride, but on our hull at about 70-75 we "drive through a bit of hell" and it settles down nicely after that. We think that's the speed at which the hull is trapping almost enough air, and then it dumps it out the back, and we get into a slight porpoise. After 75, no problems at all.

If you can get a Skater, I think you'll be VERY happy with it. Great hulls!

Take a look at Eliminators also in the 22-24 ft range. Well built boats.

You want outboards or IO. I know of a real nice fast 24 daytona io

rcruz2525 01-15-2016 01:21 PM

What is the mayor difference between the two?
Is Outboard faster than inboard but inboard is more reliable?

noli 01-15-2016 02:27 PM

.

the 25 Predator cat currently at the factory is sold...but Arnaldo can build you a new one. They're vacuum bagged with composites materials throughout

The C25 can be rigged with a single outboard (300XS, 400R) or twin outboards (300XS)

...can also handle a single big block I/O (see pic below)

The City in which they preside over

You might want to look at 30 Motion & Spectre. They are relatively cheap and would be a good starter cat.

They also bounce, mine at 52, but only in smooth water.

Good luck

I dont think you can, I really wouldnt worry about it as your thread is getting decent press from it. Enjoy the humor

PARASAIL941 01-23-2016 10:11 AM

If you think that's funny , I hear SONIC makes a cat. This way you could get your boat ( maybe ) , and get a FISTING at the same time...
