Building a 34, whatever happened to their 36?

They still have it. This 34 is for twin outboards.

Have they built many? How did they run? Never heard much on them.

Read the article again it states it is a new model. First one not rigged.

Like 3 or 4 36's if I'm not mistaken.
My understanding from Randy was that they just weren't that much less expensive to build than a 39' or 40' thus making them a pricey 36' I/O Cat.

Based on that the 34' O/B seems to make a bit more sense & will probably be marketed at a more affordable price point.

I read the article and was asking about the other smaller model they came out with in the past.

For whatever reason, the 36 didn't sell as well as I'm sure the people at MTI would have hoped. Obviously, they believe a smaller model will get a better reception. They certainly don't need any larger cats—they have that well covered.

Maybe a 28-30 with twin 300XS's ????

I think the price point is a factor. If the target price on this boat is a half million then maybe thats the issue. Just sayin
