I've had good luck with the new design. The old ones were metal. They rusted and bent. I thought the new fiberglass pole design was brilliant and haven't had a failure in the first two seasons. For $100 it's worth it over a Bimini for how we boat

I will look into this. Thank you

Check out the Hydra Shade. Has beach spike or rod holder end. I bought cup holders with rod holder in the bottom for my Skater and you just pop it in and twist to lock in place. No acrobats trying to tie down an Anchor Shade. Also you can buy a SeaSucker Rod holder and stick it anywhere. We use that to stick it on the bow since it's not cool to have Rod holder or cup holders on the bow of you Skater!
http://www.hydrashade.com/ I have used both. Hydra shade is much better construction. |
I bought a bimini top here, It was on sale for about $200 and used hardware that was already on the boat. For $200 it's actually WAY better than expected...

I agree I had the first model, and it was garbage, WAY to flimsy. The new ones are much better as a few friends bought them against my recommendation, and it turned out they had improved them significantly. Still for idle speed only. West marine seems to have the white ones on sale for less than $100 every summer. |
Look up Lost Bwana Outfitters for an alternative
