if i remember correctly phenomenon had the same problem with the shafts flexing inward i believe causing some props to hit? probably the most power ever put through a setup like that, may throw out a flare an get in contact with some of the team that worked on the project?
my advice is slow down. play chess not checkers. before i could have figured out what my plans are, you have a set of drop boxes on the cnc table. (which is awesome, but impulsive. ) ps - not an attack so i hope you dont take it that way.
remember this speech in the movie days of thunder ? lol.

Chess, not checkers....Good analagy. I’m assuming the engines have already been torn down, what are the results? I wondered why they chose the 6.7 crank instead of 5.9. I think there is a possibility the engines would be happier making 1000hp at 3500 r.p.m’s

The biggest problem with the arnesons was not being able to keep them straight. You cannot use a tie bar because it would drag in the water coming through the tunnel and if you build a big stand up high it puts too much leverage on the trim ram and bends it. I made several parts just to be able to see how straight they were and had a trim pump inline to be able to spread them apart but when I would floor it they would start pulling together. I think the fluid was leaking past the seals. There are several things I could have tried to be able to keep them straight but it would still leave some questions about how to set it up where we know how to set up a 46 skater with number 8's to not have to do a lot of testing to get the sweet spot.
