Any chance of building flanges and clamping the pipes together ?

Seems like thin wall to butt weld in that environment

Great to see it back on the water

I finally got the crossover pipe between the compounded turbos welded up and heat wrapped.

I need to put the thermostats back in because the engines take forever to warm up in cold water and will not build boost to get on plane. Finally got on plane and ran around for a little while. Came back in running on both. I had switched the drives to inboard rotation to see what that would do and it does not work. It started proposing at around 70 instead of 90 but the big props did lower the rpm.

the props would not clear the #8 so I had to put them in the lathe and take 1/4” off the tips.

now there’s a good 32nd of an inch of clearance. If it flexes it will just be like an 18” diameter endmill making its own clearance.

Oh you got me. lol. Wasnt a bash on Tyson at all, I just find it sad he has paid alot of money and spent alot of time on something he is passionate about, and it seems like he is always cleaning up someone else's shoddy work...(welds that didnt penetrate). Really no excuse for this IMO.

What kind of fire breathing boat do you have ?
