World cat cc

Wondering if any of you have been around the world cat line of boats. Specifically the 29 and bigger 330. Definitely interested in the center console not the dual console.

I think this may be the route I go for a every weekend boat.

Anything to look for or consider? I saw one running around at key west last year and it seemed to ride as well at 40mph as any boat out there. That's the only one I've ever seen in person.

I had a smaller 25dc and it was a great riding boat , the larger ones are just that much better in the rough water , my boat was very stable at speed and at rest , also great mpg's , Yes I would buy another one and it will probably be a 29 or 32/33 footer :)

One word for CC cats, Freeman Boat Works. Ok three words but they are the cat's azz.

I fished on a world cat 33 CC a few years ago and other than the twirks of the cat in the turns the boat rode great. We got caught in honest 8' seas and I slept in the bean bag chair beside the console as white water went over the t-top. I have heard of some issues with the few I/O models they did but the outboards are good.

My buddy has a 25 CC, I no smaller then what you want but I will say for a 25 there is a lot of room.

His has yammy 150's on it and rides way better then any 25 foot I have been on. We have been 50 miles out in the gulf and seems fine. I think it tops out around 35, gets about 2 mpg.

I would mind ha I g one of there little 22 footers for a putt around boat.

They have merged or something, still keep the brand names. Somehow I am on their email list.

I've fished several, Glacier Bay, World, Gravois. The Freemans are in a class unto themselves. Hell, even the first plywood boats Bill built were awesome. The lines on a Freeman CC Cat are comparable to what the lines of a Buddy Davis is in the Sportfish. There's nothing close to a Freeman in the CC cat arena.

you cant compare in price point , you can buy a nice new Worldcat or Glacierbay " under 30 footer " in the $ 150 k range loaded , I bet a Freeman is close to double that price

You didnt specify new or used, but when I was researching them a few years back for a used one, I know some of the early production years had problems with their wood and/or poor design to keep the wood dry.
