You're probably looking at about 55 miles from South Haven to Michigan City.

Dyno
You are right 9:00 is too early. I live in Illinois and have a place in South Haven where I keep my boat. I don't always make the time switch correctly. I thought that we would meet some boats in St Joe if anyone is leaving from there. So 10:00 to 10:30 would be a warmer time to leave. Kaamas right, its only about 55 miles.

When you reach the corner of Dunkley and Water St, the building in front of you is where my condominium is.

Default River Run..

Mr Cig..Candyman..
If you dont make the run to MC, Maybe we can still hook up and have a few. There are five to seven of us that are planning to make our yearly Chgo River run either Sat or Sun (weather) we will be comming out of portage about 11 0r 12 and heading to Navy Pier. we plan to make the river run and then stop at the clubs for a sandwich and a drink across from the lock by the skyway. If you dont go to MC stop by and say hello, the first one is on me. If we should pass any of you going the other way, at least wave as you go by!!
Anyway, hope all of you have a great time!!

Eliminator219,
There is some sort of bar hop going on in the river on Saturday. Mr. Cig would have more info.

I believe it is Riverside that you are talking about going to for sandwiches. Post what day you guys are going out. I'll keep an eye out for you. We are going to have an OSO & COPS event at the Hammond yacht club on the 26th. The 1ST ANNUAL PIRATES BALL....HAMMOND YACHT CLUB. I'll be posting more info in a couple of days.

Doug,
I believe the best way to Hammond is to take 65 north to the Indiana toll road going west. You would exit at Calumet Ave north. Take that to Indianapolis Blvd, RT41, and turn left following the riverboat signs. At the next stoplight take the overpass to the casino & riverboat. At the bottom of the ramp keep going straight and ignore the Marina parking sign. A 1/4 block past the bottom of the ramp there is an entrance to the boat launch. There is no current here. I think Indiana residents have free launch but not for sure. Triple axle trailers get nailed $30.00 per launch. The Hammond number is 219-6597678. I will check these directions on Map quest later and change them if they are wrong. I am 99% sure they are correct.

Glad to see Imco got you back on the water. Have you had it out with the new drives yet?

How many people? Estimate is ok.

The Marina director is a blow boater. He says us guys with triple axle trailers tie up the launch longer than the smaller trailers so he feels it fair to charge us more. Obviously he doesn’t have a clue. He will not permit the triple axle trailers to buy a season pass either.
Now I'm back to being a river rat. $40.00 for a season pass!
