496 ho fault codes
I have a 2003 496 ho it won't start up. I unhooked the sea pump psi sensor and it fired up. I scanned it to see what codes I was getting but I don't know what any of these codes mean here are the code numbers 94, 123, 121, 118, 75, 133, 131, 191. Can anyone let me know what those are and if those could stop the motor from running thanks

I seen you in the other post - Its freakin hot out so I am break.
Real fast the answers are do not worry about these codes at this point but more on that later. 94, 118, 75, 131, 191 And the rest it will take me alot more writing as I DO NOT HAVE TIME AT THE MOMENT> Like I said in your other post (no start) - and the alarm was more than ONE fault going on as I was totally correct about that from the get go. you have more than one thing going on and more faults that needs attention other than one. MAINLY Your 5 V circuit is the reason WHY your engine would not start. It is linked to the water pressure senor plus alot more sensor / circuits plus a whole lot more of how all that works with the smart transom and smart harness along with the problems. The boat / engine should NOT be ran until that 5 V is completely tracked down and fixed and your TPS gets fixed. I do not have time to go thru all of this. Also trained PCM 555 experience is needed to fix your problems with a scan tool who can read all of that. . I have that but your app is not in my hands nor eyes and ears. I bet I can fix this but you will have to be NO SO VAGUE with your typing and answers and descriptions needs a whole lot more depth. Not a slam at alL but already asked a bunch of questions in your other post that have totally not got answered on your part inwhich I have no idea why. The water pressure sensor itself could still be good because your codes did show for that. Thats a fact by your fault listings. There is tests for the water pressure sensor itself to see if it good or bad - instead of being a lucky guess parts changer inwhich can get very expensive changing good parts for new parts to only have the same problems. |

Now to the codes what could be triggering the 5VDC and th TPS and where should I start on looking for the issue thanks and Sorry for being so short on my previous post |
Do you have a water pressure fault code of any sort ? If you plug the connection back in to the WP sensor does the engine start ? On the scan tool what does the 5 V reference signal read - with key on and when you can start engine and run the engine however ? It should be 4.8 v or 4.9 v or 5 v for the correct reading on the scan tool. Does the 5 v bounce all over the place in its readings ?
What does it read with the water pressure sensor is connected and read when it is unhooked ? Again with key on only and however when you can get the engine to run Try a new WP sensor - run the engine and see what fault codes comeback up and or any new ones. Also look at your 5 V on the scan tool - What is it reading with the new WP sensor and connected if the engine starts ? If the engine still does not start with a new WP sensor I want to know and if it starts with it unplugged - I want to know. |
