sold the SCARAB yesterday.

I have been trying to sell it off and on for the last few years. Just had tire kickers.
Resorted to taking it to the local auction with a minimum that was about where the highest offer I had gotten.
Well yesterday it went for $2150 more than the minimum.
Right where I thought it was worth.
Glad to have room in the barn again.

It's a funny feeling selling a boat, jubilation and misery in the same day
Congrats!

We bought the SCARAB to use as a floating camper in 95. We spent every weekend weather permitting on the boat. Usually we went to lake MI. but have been to Lake of the Ozarks and lake Erie. Every summer we would go somewhere for 5 days that we haven't been before. We liked port hopping. About 12 years ago my wife said we couldn't go to the big lake anymore so it was Hardy pond or nothing, then she didn't want to sleep on the boat anymore.

In 2010 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

Using the SCARAB as a day boat on Hardy Pond got to be VERY boring and we stopped going. Against her wishes I bought the 26 Daytona. I love it she tolerates it.
I had totally remodeled the galley and head in the SCARAB to make it much more usable for weekending. The amount of money and time I put into that boat would surprise you.
In some ways I will miss it and the memories we had with family and friends.

I'll always rememeber that boat. Every time I see your name that's the only boat I'll see in my mind. Maybe it's because you had it a long time, maybe it's because we have just been around here a long time.

Wow, it sounds like you have your hands full, prayers for your wife and your family.

One positive thing is that the Daytona is easier to tow. Very sorry to hear about your wife, I hope she still enjoys boating!
