Hey some of us like to stuff big hp motors in things that shouldn't have them (pontoon). I'm sure it was just like any other project it was the "this would be cool" and "why not whats the worse that could happen" and next thing you know you have a 8k bayliner with a 20k drivetrain.

All the years I caught hell around here for being boatless. I could of had that thing and just put it in street parties and tied to a dock.

That paint job and Headers... Has to be a pantie dropper...lol... I actually think it was a waste of money but pretty cool. Not familiar with that model so dont know about the hull taking that power. But I have been on a couple bayliners that were solid.. I had a 2452 Hard top that was the most solid boat I have ever been on.

The nice thing about some idiot sinking an obscene amount of money into a Bayliner is that somebody can now buy all of those expensive / high quality parts for a fraction of their original purchase price, then throw the hull away.

Redundancy.... All the Bayliner Offshore Race Team boats use 3 of every gauge.... Especially the speedometer. That way the sum of them is in the triple digits.
