Regardless of the crappy repair job, the boat did hit mid 90's on our one fly by run so I don't care the engines can say 200 or 1,000 on them. Maybe I can get more with a smooth hull.

Vid says boat previously owned by Matt Garland, but there is no telling what happened after it left his control either.:(

It still amazes me that sh!t like this still goes on in this industry! There is no fooking way you could ever get away with this crap for long if you were a new car dealer(equivalent to this type of boat dealer). Hell I have seen major tv news stations air stories about a $750 repair job that was hacked or not done all the way and the dealer or repair garage won't make it right!
I can't imagine what you are feeling right now but I know I would make it a mission while you are waiting for your boat to be done to make sure everyone knows that you might as well take your chances with some flyby night sh!t hole boat dealer than buy from them because atleast the money you saved you spend of fixing a boat you expect to have problems with. Rant off!! |
The good news is that the boat appears to be sweet overall, performs just like you want and can be repaired to like new with the right fiberglass guy.
Hopefully, many people will learn something here that will help them in their next purchase. I contend that with these circumstances the same thing could have happened to many of us. Could you find this damage on close inspection? Most likely, but if you thought someone else inspected the hull and you were buying from a well known dealer, who knows. I probably wouldn't have inspected the hull really closely..... There are quite a few things going on when seeing your new boat, test driving it for the first time, and closing the deal. Nuke, I think you already have the right attitude, repair with your contingency fund and get out there and enjoy your new rig. Very nice boat! |

That is absolutely digusting to me that someone had the audacity to sell you a known defect, that should have been disclosed, straight up bullsh*t. Caveat Emptor, maybe, or maybe not, I can only speculate, but being honest and forth-right goes along way in life and is the only way to run a successful business. LCM what the hell? The seller/owner of the boat, shame on you.
We all make mistakes, and in life I subscribe to the idea of giving someone the benefit of the doubt, LCM make this man whole, meaning fix the delamination issue, orgive the buyer a reasonable amount for the repair. Solve this man's problem. |

Nuke427, I just saw your "new to you" boat last Friday at Terry's Marine and it is a beautiful boat. This situation sucks but Terry will have it repaired as new and you can enjoy the rest of the summer in your dream boat.
