Default 42 Foot Catamaran Center Console at Miami Show & other pics

I have been watching the design and build of this CC over on the hull truth. THis is the first performance designed hull catamaran hull CC I have seen in a while. The side profile is very much like a Skater- its assymetrical and has an almost 12 ft beam. The hull depth is tremendous, incredible freeboard. The boat was at the Miami show although really not finished. I will attach some pics and some other show pics.

That's the question I have been wondering for a while now, why not any performance CC cats!

Here's a cc cat that was built from a Mares performance cat. I believe the design was Scott Robson from New Zealand. Appears to have very low freeboard in the bow but Robson designs were built for rough seas in N.Z. and Australia.

Always thought it looked nice, loads of room and probably capable of handling big power. The conventional closed deck Mares cats were fitted with stern drive power so I imagine you could power one up.

Wonder what happened to Spectre/Frisini, did they ever build more and were they any good?

Hope I'm not diverting the thread.........

Rak- The only other performance CC I found was the Cobra 31 Predator and they built few of them. The Mares is not known as a top performing hull, but I have never seen one...So I don't know for certain.

The 42 Prowler did 60 mph with twin 350 Yammies. I think with 4 -400 Mercs 90 is possible...

And I think it will handle the rough stuff like a 40 Skater which will be impressive....

That Aronow cat is a one-off. There are no real performance CC Cats as far as I can tell. MTI , Nortech, Statement, etc are all V hulls. I was just at the Miami Show and the ontly other cat is a huge cat from some company Insetta and these are really not performance hulls although they had one with TWIN 7-627's an 65mph boat- 1.6 mill
