Last Minute... Solomon's Island, MD, this weekend.
 

I think we are leaving in a couple hours. Going to stay all weekend, at the Holiday Inn. Anyone else going to be in the area? I have already talked to Mark in So. MD. We are meeting at the boat ramp at the bridge in the morning.

Nah, Tim's Rivershore in Dumfries, just really doesn't do it for me. I look forward to Solomon's. I need some time out of NoVa anyhow. Maybe some time with the SMIBs will let me relax a bit.

I only use that term very affectionately. The locals are the best there. I had an absolute blast. Thank you so much Mark in So. MD, and Bobby B. The hospitality and tour were A1 top notch. This area is BEAUTIFUL. They don't care too much for Offshore boats much in the harbor though!

Did they have Top Fuel there? How did they run (ETs and MPHs). Actually the question should be , how did they stop? I know they were making the shut down area longer, but it still looked too short to me.

Hey Sydwayz It was good to meet you and hang out the other night. Man your boat is awesome and you keep that thing super clean. I also went by the boat ramp yesterday on my way to work for a damm 14 hours and i guess that was your white avalanche down there. It was a sweet truck!

Yeah, Top Fuel was there, but they only had 7 or 8 and most shook the tires so bad off the line they didn't run full passes. the ones that did were in the high 4's low 5's and I don't remember MPH. They seemed to have more than enough room to stop. Don't know what would happen with a chute failure though:eek: I was only there in the afternoon and they were having some serious problems off the line, we saw about 10 of 46 Pro Mod cars actually make a full pass:(

Yeah Bobby, that was my truck. We pulled out at about 3pm. I saw your truck at the shopping center on the way up 4. Your F-250 is TIGHT!

Thanks Brian! I love it and it pulls the boat great. I am debating on selling it to get a dually or excursion though. What did you guys think of catamarans? And where all did you go out on the river at yesterday?

Catamaran's was fun. There were a lot of hoodlums rolling in though as we left. We actually saw you leaving the Tiki Bar as we walked back. Man, that harbor is DARK when heading back to the Holiday Inn. I have been on the upper Potomac late at night, and sight is no problem there. I guess I am spoiled. On Saturday, we went a ways up the river; past the 231 Bridge, and near the power plant. Sunday, we headed out to the Bay. The Bay was beautiful. Perfect 1-1.5 foot chop; exactly what the Sonic likes for airing out. We went about 3 or 4 miles out, lapped a few blowboaters as race bouys, (just kidding), and headed back in. We went to the Inn for lunch, and walked the island a bit.

Yeah there are a ton of hoodlums running around catamarins. Yeah that harbor is pretty dark so you do have to be careful. So when do you guys think you will head back down? Yeah the bay is pretty cool out there for a little chop i love playing out there when its like that.

Wish I could have been there but oh well. Hey Bobby was my sis workin that night?? Insptech I use to race a lot at MIR about 5 yrs ago and man do I miss it. My dad was there and said it was awesome and not he cant decide between Outboard Drags and now Cars again. Oh well I told him I would drive either one for him.:D Have a great week guys.

All I know is that she is moving back home thats about it. Hows the boat doing?? I should be home next weekend trying to go to the tiki bar before it closes I will let you know.
