Wanting to turn stainless steel from chrome to black.
Need advise on how or what to do to make all my chrome and stainless in the boat to a black finish. What is the best application to use to get the flat black look I want. Do not a glossy black if I can help it. I alos want something that will stand up to some abuse such as my cleats ect.

I would guess a powder coat would your best bet barring any high tech (pricey) anodizing or plating systems.

Little far from you but drop them off in the DunBar Area of Fort Hood Florida.
Seems a lot of girls go there to get Blacked. From what I seen from videos, educational purposeississ only

My frame on one of my cars was powder coated and I scraped it on the trailer pretty good and it just left some marks but didn't go through the coating. From my experience, it's pretty strong stuff and would last.

We have tons of stuff powdercoated at work and the thickness usually tends to be around .050. Another option is hard anodizing it. No thickness added and the stuff is surprisingly tough!!
