Non thinking by the owner, just never considered the 'what if it comes loose?" Simple lesson for everyone.

I hope the scoot jockey was ok. Only good thing is the camera guy stopped immediately. Most Asian countries they just drive around and keep on going.......

Ban fools who don't lash their loads properly because they endanger other travelers, case in point.

Its not just limited to fools not strapping stuff down.....i know a guy who almost died when the pickup truck in front of him had the old style inserted plastic bed liner come out of the bed and come through his windshield on the highway!!
And even they guys that do strap stuff down....straps do break....saw a wicker patio set fall off a trailer and onto the middle of the expressway when a strap broke and the rest let loose!

That was right here in Minnesota. You would not believe some of the morons I see at the ramp. I've had to back people's boats into the water for them just to get them out of the way.

I'm a motorcycle rider as well, and while it was definitely primarily the fault of the driver/person who strapped that float on the boat...
...the motorcycle should have NEVER been there; and I lay some of the blame on him as well. He was too close, too casual, and obviously not dressed for the fall. He's very lucky.

I agree with the you, some blame is on the motorcyclist. Always ride defensively, he was too passive.
