Which tablet works best with Navionics
Which tablet will work the best with the Navionics software? Ill probably buy a used tablet off Cl and want to know what brand and model will work the best. The tablet will be used ONLY for the GPS and navigation. I see a lot of people use the Ipad, but what about the android tablets? And does the android software work as well as the IOS software? I want to get the biggest screen too. Which ever tablet Is best which ones have a GPS chip?

We've used my wife's iPad with navionics in the past and it works awesome...as long as you don't keep it in the sun too long, so that it overheats and shuts down. lol

I have a 10 inch Lenovo and an 20 inch Samsung view. I love android.

Wasted, what model of Ipad do you use?
|
Just a regular old iPad 2. I have a chartplotter now with the Navionics card, so we don't use a tablet anymore.

I used a Samsung tab 2 - 10.1 on my old boat. There probably pretty cheap now. Worked great. Plus download movies to for overnight :)

We had a hideous Raymarine plotter on our new boat, decided I liked the look better without it and now we use an iPad air with a ram mount (double suction). Only downside is the glare.

For you guys using a I Pad, how the heck do you see it?
I got the double mount and tried it but can't come close to seeing anything. |

Just my opinion but I don't think there is a tablet and app that will be as easy to see and use as a dedicated GPS.
