Go hug and kiss your wife and kids and laugh hearty with your friends and tell those in your life how much they mean to you and soak up and appreciate every last ounce of this life. Then, while you're alone and out having a beer next to your boat, give it a little rub on the bow and ask it to take care of you as you will respect and take care of it. ;)

This is the news we never want to hear. Condolences to all involved.

Nate,I would have to disagree with you on this one, Jrider is correct. The poker run is continuing today so lets make sure everyone is geared up for the event.I always wondered why true offshore jackets were not a requirement as they are in any open offshore raceboat.

Not even going to engage about who thinks what is right or wrong right now.

If you feel the need to do so I ask to please open another thread about it.

Dont know any of the victims but we're all boaters and 1 big family. Thoughts and prayers to the families and friends. Hope they can gain some solace in the fact that they passed on doing what they loved. Accidents can and do happen. Be safe out there.

So sad, not only a loss to the powerboating community as a whole but a huge loss to our Lake Cumberland boating community.

Art was also known around these parts for his love of drag racing and his family / friends from that sport. i didnt know him personally but through friends of friends in both boats and cars. i have never heard any thing but positive about him.

ive floated with anthony in front of the damn in lake cumberland. he didnt know me from anywhere but had no problem talking shop with a complete stranger. and was not worried about a much lower class of boat being next to his. just a solid good person.

god speed to the boaters involved. thankfully they were doing what they loved at the time of being called up.
