GMC Denali

I am looking to buy a 2003 Denali. What should the price be ? and where is the cheapest place to get one ?

SummerObsession 09-30-2002 08:54 AM

F34PC:
I think you can get a really good deal on one right now. Dealers usually have around a 7-10% mark-up on these rigs, and there are quite a few of them sitting around. My local dealer ran a locator on 2003 white only Denali's and came up with 6 of them!
And we live in the middle of nowhere. I traded a 01 Denali for this new one, so I don't know about outright deals, but it is a buyers market. You will LOVE the 03, they have a new dash and features that make it a GREAT vehicle to drive.
Good luck!

Try Brett "bsag" from the board. He sells GM vehicles, sold Sydwayz(Brian) his new Chevy. He should be able to help you out.

OK, Denali people I have a question for you.

In the commerical where they show a New Denali 4 wheel steer truck pulling a boat in a figure 8 (going forward) then they put it in reverse and do a figure 8 and stay in the tracks they made the first time.

Is this really possible? I don't see how it could be!!

Yea, you could do a figure 8 in reverse but you wouldn't be able to stay in the "same" tracks!!

Sydwayz 10-03-2002 08:51 AM

From what I remember of the commercial, when they throw the truck in reverse; you only see them backup for a VERY short period. When they do an overhead shot. It looks as if they are replaying the forward figure-8s; in REVERSE sequence. That is my take.

To the truck's benefit though, I have test driven it twice, and nearly bought one. IT IS PHENOMINAL as far as handling. However, I did not think the 6.0 had the power I wanted.

Cool!! thanks Brian!
I'll have to watch and see what you mean about being played in reverse!! I'll bet your right!

I haven't driven one yet, But I would like to!!

You can pick the 2002 Sierra Denali Pick-up, up pretty cheap, compared to the sticker. The 2003s are out. The body style changed. They did not sell well. They are probably going to go the way of the Lincoln Blackwood... discontinued. When I was looking back in July, I was being offered 6-9K OFF the sticker.

Sydwayz 10-03-2002 12:46 PM

When I was test driving, on I-66 (concrete), and snatched the wheel to throw the truck into the next laneat 65 mph... there was NO correction needed when it got there. At speeds above 45 mph or so, the rear steer goes parallel (direction, not literal, the rear only sways 12 degrees maximum) with the fronts. When I natually expected to recover with the wheel; slighty, I nearly went back into the original lane. It was very interesting to say the least, to drive a 2500# pickup that handled like a Vette.
