Very cool! Now if it's a half way reasonable price wise I'd say they will sell a ton of them.

define reasonable.

i would expect it to be in the higher end of like sized boats with that power but i also expect a lot of comfort, high end items, and perfect fit and finish.

Can someone please incorporate the outboards into the design of the boat in the form of a wing that could be useful at speed and not look like there hanging off the back of a cool boat? Like the functional ones they use on cars that adjust automatically with speed.

400k! It better run 125 but I highly doubt that

Flightplan 07-29-2016 08:52 PM

Beautiful hull and paint. Motors need 15" mids.

Let's see how close the design is from production

$400k?, nice looking boat and I'm positive they'll put bums on seats, but $350k for hull and rigging seems A touch steep...

Where can you get 400Rs for $25k each?

f_inscreenname 07-30-2016 05:59 AM

When a new Donzi 18 classic goes for 87 grand msrp boat prices have gotten way out of whack.

Jaco's Marine, $24,650 RH, $25,425LH, close enough to $25k each to not loose any sleep over, pretty sure proboats in San Dimas was cheaper than that as well. Admittedly that's with the HD lower, Sporties are another $1500 each side respectively.

Don't forget DTS controls Power steering pump and factory rear Tiebar plates are all extra and add up quickly.

Appreciate that aspect, my original post said "$350k for hull and rigging" so assume $30k for the items you mentioned still leaves a healthy amount to construct a 34ft boat.

All that aside, it's a good looking cat that I hope to see a fair number of on the water

Testing the awesome 340X cat!

The transom hardware looks strong! As mentioned before a 15" 400ROS would proly look and run better on this cat.

I was surprised to learn that the 400 R list price is just over $31,000. I had figured quite a bit more. Also surprised that they are only 2.6 liter.

AZMIDLYF 08-08-2016 11:50 AM

Nice

This. 800hp for under $60k retail is unbeatable in today's market. No sterndriver combo Mercury offers even comes close.

freshwaterfiend 08-08-2016 12:08 PM

The boat is stunning. Best looking of the new 400R cats, but I'd like to see pricing start with a $3 not a $4.

We will keep adding some teaser pics to our Facebook page.

The official "release" will be when we show the boat off at the Shootout Street party at the end of the month.

The boat runs great. We hit our target without trouble...and there is more to come...
We spent a few days testing and tuning with what we had. We are making a few small changes and waiting on new props to be made.

Those talking about costs....don't forget that these 400s get the Sportmaster Lowers...

And Yes, 15" mids would be better... and yes, we have a pair of the 400 ROS engines at our shop....which are 15" Mids... They are very cool engines, but the cost gets up there, and they are "race" engines which have no warranty.

We will have the boat at the Shootout as mentioned. I have a slip at Camden for Supercat Fest as well, so I think I'll have it there a good bit of time.
