Bravo drive jumping out of gear

Was on a 2000 35' Fountain w/500EFI's at WOT (91 speedo) port drive jumped out of gear engine hit rev-limiter. Stopped the boat shifted drive to neutral, reverse and back into forward, worked fine. Drove boat for another hour or so no problem.

What could have caused this and should the owner be concerned? Boat has 130 hours on it.

When the drive came out of gear - had you just launched and reintered the water??? If that is not the case I would have it looked at. The BRAVO drive once in gear cant come out of gear unless you take the load off it.

There was a load on the drive and yes we were re-entering the water.
