I'm very confused. The picture on the trailer shows the two Verado's located in the Port and Center Mounting positions, with nothing mounted on the starboard side. Are they hanging a 3rd engine on the boat?

The motor is hanging from the A frame out of the way while they were probably redrilling the transom.
If they were installing a 3rd motor why unbolt the outside one.
You can see the lines are disconnected.
I would be surprised if they were installing a 3rd motor after spending time on set up to get to 111mph.
You would install the motor first.

Makes sense now. Didn't see it was hanging before.

I know you know these boats well, the new Mti just was said to have gone 116. With what is now known about Steves 318, do you think the Skater has like 118 or so in it with the right set up? Talking about a new 318 of course.

IMO I do not think 116 is an everyday number with people, fuel etc. However it is a very nice package and look forward to seeing it in person after the shootout down here.
I wonder what the tunnel width is compared to the 318 widebody and the weight. Looking at the pictures I think the 318 has more freeboard.
It would be fun to work on Steve's boat to see what we could do. I would not be surprised to see a standard 308 run close to 120mph in the future.
Going to be an interesting winter

116 might not be but I bet 113 is an everyday number for the MTI. The weight on the MTI is in the 6000# area so it's similar to the 318 in weight. The MTI is quite a bit longer than the 318 and I think your right the freeboard maybe a little less than the 318. Tim looks like his head is just sticking out of the boat a little.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I applaud the idea of trying differents set-ups and seeing what truly works.

I thought Tim told me less than 6000lbs. I am sure the big long tunnel helps.
I bet with some 15" motors on that thing and getting those powerheads out of the wind would add a couple MPH also.
Either way definitely a good run.
