I went with some friends a few months ago to the Baja factory and found it to be quite interesting. I did not expect it to be as big of an operation as it was. We were taken through all aspects of the build process and got to see many boats in different stages of production.

If your in the market for a boat in this range you can hit both the Baja and Checkmate factories for a free tour and they are only about 10 minutes apart.

probly 24 Pantera, just bought twin outboard model that was fast as heck. Sent it to Germany with 2 Pythons. Those Batboats are just too impractical but look pretty cool. How many Batboats have been sold anyway. There are probly more 24 Pantera's laying in yards in Fl. alone than any of these things. I have a little Phantom w/canopy if you batboys think you can come down and put a whoopin' on it. not! Make sure you know what your talking about before you tell me how fast and great the Batboat is. Sorry , but we have heard all this tooooo many times already.

Too Old, the pic of the 24' Pantera is familiar. I had only seen a rear view. The boat has/had been for sale for long time. The seating and the exhaust tips are a dead giveaway.
I always thought it was overpriced at around $20,000.
Any idea what became of it?

The Checkmate......It's built better than any of these other boats and will flat out fly.....( the 251 is the fastest of the Checkmate 25's) i know of several running in the triple digits. PS for Johnny Bravo........i'll run a 25 Check vs 25 Baja anyday off the week in any water....... Check's hold their value better also!
