A couple of my friends in Florida are Master techs for Merc Verado and Opti. I will ask there opinions about the the 97 % 2000 rpms and below run times issues.

Report back when they give me their opinions. These are guys who work on these apps daily from inside and out. I really do not work on outboards but in the past have and thru my dealership sold brand new boats with Opti's on them. Fuel pumps and spark plugs were always an issue with them back in the 2000's.

Actually, I would say that 90% of the running time was done at 800 RPM.

Paul pfaff told me 350 before top ends need servicing on my 750s. Of course that's not apples to apples. Also said not to run synthetic to thin of a oil. I'm running joe Gibbs mr 50
