I guess I'm thankful I don't live on a lake.

I use to love it ,louder the better, now knocking on 50yrs of age I hate to admit it , but on my last re rig on my 35 fountain with 700 horse engines, CMI's, I added silent choice. I have to say I love the feature not because of the tree huggers or worlds pain in the ass's on shore, or in a kayak . You can talk on the boat , and the local police don't even give me a second look heading back to the trailer, I never use it on plane , and I have had no issues of water reversion, it is supercharged so that does help. On my way up to A Bay Sunday morning, and I know I will have no issues with the local law, and I can leave my ear plugs home. Everyone have a safe and noisy! Labor Day

Dry pipes here. Love the dry sound at idle and barking through waves. When we're dressed and taking the boat for cocktails, mufflers would be great!

Dry pipes are both good and bad:

1. So f'n loud everyone around the dock stares at you while you're docking, and is waiting for you to screw up. - happened to me
2. So f'n loud if a fellow performance boater is in the area, he will usually come over and help you dock - also, happened to me, and thank you

I live in a water community next to a county park that also has a boat ramp. Exhaust is like music to me. There has been months (June July Aug) that I didn't hear a boat in years past. I'm just happy I'm starting to hear it again.

LOL, I'm over in Riviera Beach and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't hear someone getting it across the water. I get that wonderful 4k+ rpm scream in the distance..... hell there's actually one going right this moment

TYPHOON 09-04-2016 11:33 AM

I LOVE the noise !!!!!! I would much rather listen to my motor scream than talk to some one on a boat ride. When we get to where we are going we can talk all day but when we are moving its music to my ears !!!!!!! If I want to entertain, talk and just idle around then we take the Wellcraft LOL.
