Not sure how it will affect ride but the 25 hydros should be close pitch wise to the 26 bravos . I'd at least give them a shot for comparison if in decent shape.

will you be going to the chicken wing run? Couple of fountain enthusiast , will be heading up from Rochester, depending on the weather, I have an older 35 single step that runs pretty good, I can share some info that worked well for me and some other customers, when it comes to the bottom and pad of the traditional fountain. Hope to see you up there.

this is exactly the issue, look at my situation, 65 hours later, ZERO gain is speed after countless hours tuning and asking questions, still almost 2 mph slower then my old engines that Bob said these would crush all day long, as for myself I feel I have every right to bash Bob... I may be making a cam change this winter if my trans is indeed bad, if I do... I cannot wait to post the results....

It may seem like I say what i say, because I just wanna rip on bob for my own reasons, but that is not true at all. I have guys messaging me, calling me, emailing me stories of their mishaps with bob over the years. Most dont wish to get into any online "drama". I personally can care less if bob, or any of his friends get pizzed at me for my comments.
My #1 goal is to see people have successful boating experiences. I dont offer my opinion to sell a product , or anything like that. Im no expert , just a guy who has a voice. After all, its an internet forum. People give reviews of businesses all the time. If someone had a chitty experience with cpperformance, some random engine builder, or even some guy they bought used parts from, they often talk about it. But god forbid someone says something about Bob here , and they are laughed at, and labeled troublemakers. That part sucks imo, and is the reason any bad reviews or stories regarding him, get left untold.
The 525sc didnt make much more than 525hp. 525efi did a little better.
Did you dyno your engines with the gil manifolds? I'd like to think a 675hp na 540, would suffer a bit with gils. If it made 675 with the gils on and in full marine dress, thats a stout build for sure. Id like to try putting together a marine exhaust shootout on a similar build soon.
