Got to love the repo shows. I remember a few years back when there was another post similar to this one. In the end the owner of the boat ended up coming out and saying that they actually leased his boat for the tv show production, the whole deal was staged

I love how they make a big deal out of keys also. Isn't there only a dozen or so marine ignition keys?

Actually more than that because I have most spares for Mercruiser and Volvo, a lot cross over for key ignition between the 2. AND the and is, one lanyard with the many style of clips to work for whatever is installed in that app for a kill switch. This includes a lot of jet skis as well.

A lot of Mercruiser and Volvo use a PK ### key for the keyed ignitions. Not saying all but a lot.

So who owned the Hustler is it a 50 ft because it has trips ???

I live in a resort town. As a teenager, in to my early 20's, I'd charge up to $20 to hot wire a person's boat that left their keys back home out of state.

Within say 5 minutes (most boats) I'd have it wired for them to enjoy their week-end.

1st fire up most would get pissed. How'd you do that so fast ! Yes, PO'd....realizing I could steal their boat that fast ! LOL. After a few minutes they'd get over it and go use their boat.

Side story - would do it for snowmobiles also. I'd get real lucky when a Polaris...pop the hood, pull plug off back of ignition switch, pull the chord, Braap !

Amazing how many people forgot keys back then. Think it was all the alcohol and cocaine back then. Ha !

see, this is why I dont watch reality tv. first, the guy is repo'ing the boat but takes the time to show off the dash?
second, just push in the kill switch and go. I went and repo'ed a couple cars when I was younger and we always called the cops to let them know what we were doing and if we thought the owner was around the cops would show up and make sure everything stayed calm. these shows are so stupid now they should be listed as comedy's.

I mean, who takes the keys out of their boat? Only time I do is if we stay overnight at the lake other than that they stay in the ignition
