Cat Question
I'm looking at a 1998 Warlock 31' SXT Cat. It has 115 hrs on twin 502 EFI engines, headers, stand off boxes and he is asking $98,500 for it. Does this sound like a good deal and would this boat be good on Lake Michigan. I've only been on one cat before and it wasn't a Warlock. Any info would be appreciated.

That boat will run well in a 2-4 foot chop. Much bigger and you should watch from shore. Price would depend on hours, condition and warranties. How about pictures??

The only picture was a black and white in a Trader mag. I will go see it this weekend.

I'll try to find more info about the Spectre. I'm not to familure with that make. The Warlock had some features that I liked. The guy said it had stand up bolsters and a fair size cabin for a cat. The bolsters may not be important in a cat but I'm use to them from my V hull. Does your boat have exhaust diverters. My port is getting real strick on noise levels. 36spectre I don't think there will be much in the way of warranties. The boat is four years old. I think Warlock offers five years and the engine warranty is probably out of date. |
Quiet Storm,
for info on Spectre go to: www.spectrepowerboats.com They are set up with sit down bolsters, as most cats are and no cabin. The boat runs 100MPH on HP 500s. I installed Gaffrig Powertip mufflers with stainless steel mesh spot welded inside. These run off of a vacuum pump. Good luck either way, they are both good boats. The Spectre is a true tunnel boat without a center pod. Shawn |
