Not the first pitcher to die boating after dark either. Anyone remember this one one?

Bullship. This is typical of what America has become. Take no responsibility for one's actions.

And he is using blow? Isn't that a no-no, too?

What would most of us do at 24 years old with a multi million dollar contract. He was a role model in front of the camera and his personal life.

Should he move to Boca and live in a 55+ retirement community?
Stay home and watch TV?

It was an accident... Thats it...

Wow! Really? Accident?

Hardly an accident. Play stupid games win stupid prizes, sadly he killed others by doing so.

Seriously?

Wonder if you`d feel the same if that was your son on board that he killed.

You are all exactly right! Where is the outrage?

What is the difference between a 24 year old kid that hits rocks and (any) 40 year old adult that flips a catamaran at 160mph with a co-pilot or passengers? In all of these scenarios the deceased knew the risks and the probability was high...
Before everybody gets pissed think of what a judge would look at or people outside our community of boaters.

Every year there are 1-2 night time boating accidents in south Florida with fatalities. How many incidents were there this year from OSO boating family/acquaintances in high speed accidents? Rhetorical question, more than the number of drunk boating incidents in Florida... The passing of those 3 kids is 1/10th of the loss the power boating community experienced in the last year. This crash killed 3 kids, heartbreaking of course but look at the demographics of the people we've lost from this community. Affluent, young adults with successful businesses and kids.

"They died doing what they loved" -Is getting pretty fcuking old in the powerboat scene guys.

FYI Jose's lawyers are already saying he wasn't driving but rather on the phone with a 3rd party.......so this could be a distracted operating, BUI case or simply an unexperienced operator (one of the friend's driving) case.

Whether 60 mph or 160 mph it is still seen as reckless high performance boating from the public's standpoint.

Nice pivot.

Tired of the PRO SPORT players and their actions we can get away with anything whenever. All pro sports players should be drug tested weekly and get rid of the users period. Do you know how many people with 25K paying jobs have to get drug tested and if caught get fired on the spot. A lot of sport figures currently - if you put them in a police line up many would pick out looking like gang bangers. Over paid and over hyped people to begin with who needs to wake up and take responsibility in life.

The report says he was over 2 times the limit for alcohol and had coke in his system regardless he was drug user whether if he was driving the boat or not . At 24 years of age he should know better in life - mess with drugs and or hang with people who use drugs that will be your downfall in life period. Hate drugs period ruining the world and in the hands of kids.
