Pretty sure those angels didn't force him to get drunk and high and operate his boat WFO at night.

There isn't much of an "estate" as the kid was at the end of his contract (about to re-sign a 100mm+ deal). Local paper said he only had been paid about 6mm prior to his death. Knock out taxes, agent fees and you probably don't have 3mm left and then he had living expenses + cars/boats etc. I'd be stunned if there was more than about 1.5 million left in assets and mom/girlfriend/kid are going to be fighting for that money. Add in lawyers/legal fees and that money gets spent quick!

Any life insurance he may have had is usually not part of the estate process, those proceeds go directly to the beneficiaries listed on the policy which in this case was probably just his mother.

So did Casey Anthony's and we all know how that ended up.

I love how there's $15k cash now involved (first I've heard of it) and only 2 of them; Fernandez being one, were purposely drugged.

So they're drugged at the bar where they're getting sloshed and somehow those doing the drugging know there's $15k on the boat or whatever vehicle they arrived in? But instead of the thieves taking the $15k the cops do when the boat wrecks? And the owner (captain onboard) isn't liable for his vessel nor those on board?

Lawyers should be held in contempt for lying! There'd be alot less BS court cases brought in front of judges and costing taxpayer money.

Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez said Monday morning, “I’ve been out there at night and they’re really hard to see, especially with the background of the city lights there in your face. We need to do something about that to really light it up that says, ‘Hey, the jetty is here.’ ”

I agree. That's how most boating accidents seem to happen at night. Boat lights in front of other night lights are incredibly difficult to separate. They all look the same and that's generally why it's not a good idea to cruise at any planning speed in those circumstances save for the full moon light where you can see everything. If I was the mayor/city council I'd put a couple of gigantic rope lights on both sides of it that span the full length and some underwater lights as well. That should work.

You people are real focked up in the head. Bad boating accidents happen in the night? Must be somebody / thing /other chit to blame for that. Really people? I ran into an island, 1.5 miles wide by many more long in the middle of the night years ago. Day after only one dumb fock responsible for that fock up but ME. What is wrong with people today that every single thing that happens in their lives must be the fault of someone else. Suck it up! It is your fault!

All the lights in the world will still blend in with the shore lights. Drive slow after dark. There are buoys also that you don't want to hit.
