Looking for a Formula 353 Fastech

Hi All,
I am in the market to buy a Formula 353 Fastech and was wondering if anyone knows of a good one.
I want a 2000 or newer, Want fuel injection Probably no Blown boats. Price range is $75K-$125, maybe a little more for the right boat.
I am in Southern CA, but would be interested in any location, as they can easily be shipped. Prefer boats that have not been in salt water, also prefer an Aluminum trailer.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Dave

Look on FB powerboat swap shop. There's a 99 model 353 with 500efi's located close to Lake Cumberland in Ky. I don't know the owner but we have some mural friends. Search Eric Ellsworth and it should come up. I've seen the boat in person and it's clean.

I know nothing about the boat. I just came across it this morning. Best of luck in your search

Thanks guys for the two leads. Both boats look interesting.
The yellow boat is almost new.

Hopefully the OP had a shot at this boat, eBay says the auction ended, and it is kinda rare to see a 353 with 600SCi..... Great engine also.... :)

Erics boat is extremely nice as is the trailer is sits on, would be one of the best 353s on the market IMO

There is also an all white one in I believe NJ that has big whipple power and is fully loaded (a/c,gen etc), for me id love the 100mph option but I do think the resale aspect it's hurting the boat

Hi All,
Yes, the auction ended when I BOUGHT THE BOAT! I am really excited. It looks and sounds like a new boat. I am flying out to MI on Friday to complete the deal and will have the boat shrink wrapped and ship it to SoCal on a flat bed semi. I didn't want to take a chance on have anything happen to it towing it on it's own trailer.
Thanks to all of you for the leads. What a great group.
David

Should be upper 80s, we had a 353 w/ 525s, ITS and it ran 83-84 all the time.

Dkahnjob 10-13-2016 02:03 PM

I was told it will do 89, we will see.

Good guy. Takes care of his stuff. I drove 9hrs on his word. Boat is still running good 6 years later. Ask him about the stripped bolt to drain the motor so i could pull it home in febuary. That was not fun.

Good luck.

mcprodesign 10-14-2016 05:43 PM

Hi Chad,
I just got back from Michigan, the boat will be shrink wrapped on Tuesday and picked up for shipping on Wednesday. I am having it shipped on a flat bed, I should have it in a week or so. I am very excited.
The drives only have 100 hour on them since new, so should be ok for a while.

mcprodesign 10-17-2016 11:14 AM

Ok!! But before you drive it. Take the plug out of the Bravo upper.( It's on the right side by the steering). Fluid will rush out so either put your finger over it. Or what I do is I have an extra plug. Then look at it, and after that wipe it with a white paper towel, You are checking for metal and clutch material.. Text me pics.,.

Thanks Chad.
Will do.
How about the lower plug, should I check it as well?
