Quad 400 42' Bernico

Why are more company's not doing this? Or what's left of the builders. Know outerlimits has one in the works. This boat is made over seas. These were on their Facebook

Its a cool looking boat but why waste all the room behind the back seats? Also doesn't sound as good as big blocks which is what a lot of us like to hear.

^^ This, and why not put 2 rows of bolsters + rear bench with storage and nice billet steps to the stern.

The lack of extra space would piss me off more than the lack of sound from the engines

Quiet motors aren't bad. I've snuck up on blowboaters with out alerting them.

I saw that too. Pretty cool looking boat. Still boggles my mind that the transom of all these big outboard powered boats is able to withstand all that weight and punishment

BONDO10 10-10-2016 04:10 PM

Here is a much better use of the extra space.

Agree with all the 'space' arguments, also part of the perceived value in running outboards is the cost. By the time you have rigged 4 of those monsters, your dollars are getting up there.

Great looking boat but for the size, it's pretty selfish, although that could be said about most high performance boats. :) That's my main reasoning behind the CC boom.

If I recal the first thread on this it's also not that fast for the amount of power. So 4 engines to take care of, don't use the added room, not that fast for the power. I think it missed the mark.

Let's see how the outerlimits does.

Anyone else think O/Bs hanging off the back just looks like crap.
You have a boat with great lines and amazing paint, then you go and stick a bunch of big black ugly warts on the back. Even if you color match they still ruin the lines of the craft.

Can you imagine a Ferrari with a big blower and injector scoop a foot taller than the car?

My current boat is O/B powered, I love how trouble free it is, but think it would look so much better as an I/O boat.
