This is a picture of my Father with a full head of hair in 1979 being interviewed for a local TV channel after winning a race overall in Holiday Isle resort in the Florida Keys.

The race would start in Miami and run down to the Florida Keys out in the Ocean. Approximately 100 miles.:D

Hey Timucin,

Our boats have been used on Movies, and TV episodes over the years like: Boating World on ESPN,Deadly Rivals,Thunder in Paradise with Hulk Hogan,Miami Vice,Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous with rapper Vanilla Ice 28 Pantera,All about the Benjamins, and a few other.

This is a pic. of me with the crew of Deadly Rivals in 1991 here in Miami while filming a scene. They mounted the Camera thru the deck hatch facing toward the transom. The girl in the red bathing suit was one of the main actresses.

I saw the Movie in HBO a few years ago.It has Anthony Quinn son and Margot Hemingway featured in the flick.

I was 20 years old at the time.

It was called Mr. MEAN and originally owned by Harold Trieber of North East fiberglass and later sold to the guy in the picture Marty Perlow who later raced a 28 Pantera with triple Mercs. in Production class called High Stepper.

WOW JO!!! GREAT to see! Marty was a great guy....he dated my Mom for many years. He passed away 10-15 years ago from a massive heart attack during a shoe show in Florida. We miss him dearly. I had tons of fun going to races with him, and I was the official detail (wash & waxer) guy for both Mr Mean, and his later 28' Pantera High Stepper with triple Merc 225 black max's. I miss those days like you can't believe. I used to have a few of the black Pantera t-shirts as well, but I wore them out! Wish I could still get them. The pics below are both boats. I don't recall where the Mr Mean pics were taken, but the High Stepper pic was from the Benihana race in Point Pleasant NJ in the early 80's....we were showing off our new High Stepper Racing Team shirts I remember Harold too, and a guy named Bruce?Thank you so much for keeping Marty's memory alive. I can't begin to explain how much he loved his Pantera boats, they brought him lots of joy & pride. I know I have more pics somewhere....I'll post them as I find them.
