This is a pic.of the transom of the 28 with triple 2.4 Mercs. back at the 1979 Holiday Isle race which my Father took first place overall.
The outboards were mounted on the transom back then. Our personal factory race boats have always been black in color over the years.

This picture was taken at Fort Apache Marina in 1992.This is the 28 we raced in C - class at the time powered with twin 650 HP United racing small blocks with # 2 Speedmaster drives.
It was an awesome looking boat at the time and ran strong in rough water.
This boat won the championship in B-class in Puerto Rico for 2 years in a row and went undefeated over there.

This is a great pic.from last year at the Daytona Beach APBA national.
It has my Father and I battling for the lead with Purple Haze in 6 foot seas on the outside leg.
We finished the boat that night at 2 : 00 AM in the morning and drove straight to Daytona with no testing prior.
We had the drive mounted a bit to high and were down a few MPH in calmer water conditions on the inside leg so we would need to make it up on the outside by running wide open.
It was a great battle with Purple Haze and Superboat.com.

This pic. was taken at Pt.Pleasant Beach N.J. last year in the Manufactures Challenge.
It was taken on the first turn heading into 8 foot seas with 25 MPH winds coming out of the East.We ended up taking a 2nd Place after adding to much weight and fuel on the boat for rough water balance. It was a great battle with Typhoon and Superboat.

This is a picture of the Miami Bacardi race in 1977,My father was running a 24 Sport with a 482 CI big block with a TRS drive built by Pete Van Kirk. This boat would run 82 MPH back in 1977 and beat many twin engine boats at the time.It was perfectly balanced as you can see in the pic.
I remember being 6 years old at the time and going out with my Dad in this boat.I could not see over the dash.
